We’re happy to be able to provide piercing services for our clients who are under 18 years of age! In order to ensure safety and accountability, we require just a few pieces of documentation before we get started:
piercings for clients under 18
*
Parent or legal guardian’s government issued photo ID
Examples include: driver’s license, passport, tribal ID card, or military ID MUST BE UNEXPIRED— WE CANNOT ACCEPT A PICTURE OR PHOTOCOPY
*
documentation of relationship to the minor client
Birth certificate or court order granting guardianship — if the parent/legal guardian’s name does not match to the paperwork, there must be proof of name change or documented reason as to why they do not match.
***most importantly— Informed consent is absolutely necessary for all clients, including children!
The client must be able to express desire for the piercing, along with understanding of the process and the aftercare involved. While we do understand that “Culture is Consent” (i.e., earlobe piercings on infants), it would be at the piercer’s discretion on a case-by-case basis. For cultural accommodation requests or any additional questions, contact our piercers HERE.
